We need the Freedom to Vote Act

Freedom to Vote Act (H.R.11)
This Bill was introduced July 18, 2023 to the 118th Congress (2023-2024) and aims to make voting rules the same in every state so that elections are fair and easy for everyone to take part in.

  • Making it easier to register to vote by allowing automatic and same-day registration.
  • Giving people more ways to vote, like mail-in ballots and early voting.
  • Making Election Day a national holiday so more people can take time to vote.
  • Stopping unfair voter list cleanups that accidentally remove eligible voters.

This bill was introduced more than a year ago and has been referred to multiple committees and agencies within the government. The last action taken on this bill was on December 17, 2024 when it was referred to the Subcommittee on Social Security.
